Individual Tuition
OnlineTutors123 is a tutoring agency for primary school students who need extra help or a confidence boost! OnlineTutors123 offers a bespoke service tailored to all needs.
How does this work in practical terms?
Typically, tutors will discuss with you what you are hoping to achieve for your child. Together you will explore your critical areas of concern and your priorities. Tutors should also discuss your desired outcomes from additional tutoring and will plan the first few lessons based upon this initial conversation. The next step is to have a few lessons with your child where the tutor can undertake a baseline assessment. The tutor will produce bespoke lesson plans based on your child’s needs and national curriculum guidelines from these foundations. Tutors can share these lessons plans with you if you wish. Tutors will generally update parents after every 4-6 lessons via email on what their child achieved within recent sessions. All lessons are recorded. Parents will be sent a copy of the lesson recording each week. This allows parents and students to go through any content during the week in further detail.
Our Ethos
The ethos of OnlineTutors123 is to help students grow into confident and independent learners. Students will learn the tools and skills needed to approach a topic or a type of question. For this reason, tutors working on behalf of OnlineTutors123 do not complete homework during lesson time. Answering a range of questions reinforces their understanding as it allows students to apply what they have learnt independently from schoolwork.
Courses
OnlineTutors123 provide holiday and SATs revision courses. ‘Keeping up the Momentum!’ is an online course offered by OnlineTutors123 during the holiday periods. We offer two separate courses in maths and English. The courses will be conducted in small groups of students (maximum 4 per session) via Zoom. The content is targeted for year 5 and 6 students. OnlineTutors123 also offers SATs revision courses (over a 12-week period, three times a year) for creative writing, comprehension and maths. The courses are designed to focus on the main skills needed to do well in SATs tests. These sessions make students feel confident and prepared. Special Educational Needs
Children with special educational needs tend to have specific requirements for tutoring. Most of our tutors have a wide experience with children who need specific individual support. Please see my ‘Additional Needs’ tab if you have a child with special educational needs for further information.
